Overtime Rule Blocked by Judge

Judge Blocks New Federal Overtime Rule From Taking Effect Dec. 1

A new federal overtime pay requirement that was set to go into effect December 1st has now been placed on hold. A U.S. District Justice in Texas has issued a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit brought by 21 states, and dozens of business groups.  That means for the time being, you will NOT have to change the way you pay your salaried employees who work more than 40 hours in a 7-day workweek.
